Geology and Petrography of Uraniferous Bitumens in Permo-Carboniferous Sediments (Vrchlabí, Czech Republic)

چکیده
Uraniferous bitumens found in black shales from the Permian rocks at Vrchlabí Krkonoše Piedmont Basin (Czech Republic) were described and characterized petrologically mineralogically. The sediments originated weathering products metasediments granitoids of Krkonoše–Jizera Orlice–Sněžník crystalline complexes. organic matter contained up to 4.8 wt.% uranium, as uraninite grains. Elements associated with uraninite, such Pb, Zr, Cu, As, may have accumulated epigenetic fluids layers rich during their late diagenesis. bitumen structures extremely heterogeneous, a feature attributed radiolytic effects uranium. Amorphous bitumens, alternating various forms nodular corroded types multiple generations, present. Low highly altered weak anisotropy recognized, together halo zones, reflectance 4.37%. zones differed size, brightness, reflectance, increasing edge center. Halos often revealed dark rims between inclusions clear originating probably result weaker alterations due presence other inorganic components. Uranium concentration was main factor controlling degree alteration. studied uraniferous are an excellent example multistage formation diverse evolution burial

The geochemical signatures like discordant variation of major and trace elements among felsic-intermediate and basic rocks and mafic enclaves of Malayer region on binary variation plots, decreasing values of FeOt, TiO2, MgO, MnO and CaO accompanied with increasing of SiO2 content from basic to felsic rocks, and decreasing Ni, Cr and Co with increasing SiO2 are considered as indications of mag...
متن کاملProperties of the Loess Sediments in Ostrava Region (Czech Republic) and Comparison with Some Other Loess Sediments
This study deals with a methodical identification and evaluation of physical-mechanical properties of one genetic type of geological structure. This is represented by an engineering-geological zone of eolian sediments, which is regionally rather abundant. The paper contributes to a need to identify typical soil properties for widespread geological environments in a particular region and thus ad...

متن کاملMolecular identification of the occurrence of magnetotactic bacteria in fresh water sediments (Czech Republic)
Magnetotactic bacteria (MTB) are of considerable interest because of their importance in the manufacture of various bioinspired materials. In order to find out the status of magnetotactic bacteria at three different sediment in Czech Republic, samples collected from both standing and running freshwaters were subjected to molecular diversity analysis by using 16S rRNA gene approach. Total commun...
